Job Description
Scotch Oakburn College is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Teacher in our Education Outdoors team. This is a full-time maximum term position, based at Scotch Oakburn College Penquite Campus but with duties and camp programs across northern Tasmania. As a Teacher - Education Outdoors, you will be responsible for:
Developing and delivering engaging outdoor education programs that align with the curriculum and educational objectives
Providing effective instruction in various outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, rock climbing, and environmental studies
Fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment for students while promoting teamwork, leadership, and personal development
Assessing student performance and providing constructive feedback to support their growth and skill development in outdoor education
Collaborating with colleagues to integrate outdoor learning experiences into broader educational initiatives
Maintaining equipment, resources, and facilities related to outdoor education activities
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations during all outdoor excursions and activities
